Now, let’s talk about our faith walk. Sometimes, we need a good, old-fashioned pivot. We might need to change how we make decisions, how we talk to our spouse, or how we relate to our friends and family. And let's be real -- we could all use a pivot when it comes to how we react to conflicts. It's time to ditch the "my way or the highway" mentality and take a turn towards grace.
And how about our time with God? Maybe it’s time for a pivot there, too. If we’ve been stuck in a rut, it’s time to jump out and into a new league -- the Kingdom of God. It’s where the real action happens, where we’re called to greatness, and where stubbornness has no place.
We’re in a spiritual battle, my friends, and knowing when to pivot is crucial. It’s like being in a game, and we’ve got to learn the plays. Holding onto old grudges or negative thoughts? Pivot. Stuck in the past while God’s waving us into our future? Pivot. Clinging to our perspective just to be “right”? Pivot, pivot, pivot!
God has amazing plans for us, but sometimes we’ve got to let go and let Him call the plays. If it’s against His will, it’s time to pivot -- drop it, leave it, walk away, and never look back.
And when the Holy Spirit nudges us to change things up by surrendering our will to His, it’s time to pivot. Feeling comfortable in a situation that’s more shackled than blessing? That’s a red flag! God has so much more for us, but we’ll never get it if we refuse to pivot and see the beauty that was there all the time.
Sure, pivoting can be uncomfortable. It stretches us, and there are no guarantees. But isn’t that what faith is all about? Faith is being sure of what we can’t see, not holding onto what’s already in our grasp.
There’s no faith in sitting on the sidelines, but when we let go and let God show us the beauty of something new by pivoting toward His promises, new doors will open, more faithful and encouraging friends show up, and the roads may go from bumpy to smooth sailing!
Ready to pivot? Me, too!
