Happy New Year's Eve

There’s something about the glow of the lights, the half-empty bags of party confetti, and the hope that this is the year we’ll all go to the gym more than twice. But beyond the fun and fizz, hope has a name. His name is Jesus.

As we gather to celebrate 2025 in, or as we go to bed long before midnight, let’s remember that tonight isn’t just about counting down to midnight. It’s about celebrating a Savior who sticks closer than family and shows up even when our resolutions don’t. The One who came to bring peace to the restless, joy to the weary, and light to the darkest corners of our hearts – even the ones cluttered with unmet goals.

This New Year's Eve, let’s choose optimism. Not the kind that relies on making a vision board, but the kind that looks up and says, "God’s got this." The same God who lit up the Bethlehem sky with angels still knows His way around our chaos.

We have no clue what the new year will toss our way – but we know the One holding the calendar. If He can lead shepherds with a star and calm storms with a word, He can handle 2025.

Let’s be the people who sprinkle hope like confetti – declaring God’s goodness louder than that noisy neighbor’s fireworks. Let’s be the ones who cheer others on, extend grace and reflect the love of Christ in every situation.

Tonight, whether you’re sipping sparkling cider or watching the ball drop in your pj's, let this moment remind you: Emmanuel, God with us. And because He is with us, we can strut into tomorrow with courage, joy, and hopie.

Happy New Year, dear friends! May your hearts be light, your hope steadfast, and your faith anchored in the One who never misses a midnight moment. God bless you this year -- above and beyond all you can ask for or dream about!
