From Generation to Generation: God has Us!



Some people collect antiques. I collect stories -- faith-filled, miracle-marked, tear-stained, belly-laughing stories that shout one beautiful truth: God has been faithful.

I'll bet you're a story collector, too! You know -- you hear a testimony of God's faithfulness and hold it near and dear to your heart!

Oh, my story collecting started with my parents and grandparents, and now -- praise the Lord -- to my children and grandchildren. I can almost hear the echoes of my mama’s prayers and my daddy’s strong, steady voice reading the Word over our family.

That foundation of faith wasn’t just for Sunday mornings -- it was the undercurrent of our everyday life.

Deuteronomy 7:9 reminds us: “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.”

A thousand generations! That means you, me, and even the wild and wiggly grandkids who can’t sit still in church so their parents place them in "kids' church" where they sing “Jesus Loves Me” like pros.

I remember days when I wondered if my prayers were bouncing off the ceiling. Days of loss, uncertainty, and not knowing what’s next. But always -- God showed up. Sometimes through a scripture or through a friend or a message I read on social media.

Lamentations 3:22-23 puts it so beautifully: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

I see His fingerprints all over my life. In healed hearts, restored relationships, and the surprising plot twists I never saw coming. Like marrying Carl Noble -- proof that God writes the best stories when we trust Him with the pen.

So today, I’m testifying. Not because life’s always been easy, but because God’s always been there. Through every season, every high and low, He’s been faithful.

If you’re wondering today if He sees you, if He cares, or if He’s still working behind the scenes -- He does, He is, and He won’t stop now.

Let the generations after us rise up and say, “She lived with joy. She prayed with grit. And she believed God would never fail her.”

Because He didn’t.
And He won’t.
