My Safe Place is smack dab in the green pastures where God always soothes my soul and gives me daily ideas for yet another blog. Most days, folks read the words, smile (hopefully), and carry on with their day.
Occasionally, I get a “like” or a heart and let me tell you -- those little clicks feel like someone brought me fresh flowers! Every so often, someone stumbles across one of my blogs. Most days, folks read the words, smile (hopefully), and carry on with their day.
And then, sometimes -- someone chooses a different route altogether.
They don’t just disagree -- they drive their point home like they’re in a demolition derby, crashing through with criticism. I’ll admit it: I delete those comments. Not because I’m afraid of disagreement, but because this little online home of mine -- whether it's Facebook, Blogger, or MyPeaceZone.com is MY sacred ground.
I believe in meaningful conversations, not mud-slinging contests. And I’ve learned, sometimes the best answer is no answer at all. Jesus taught us that. He didn’t engage every mob. He didn’t throw stones when others expected Him to. He brought peace to chaos, and that’s the blueprint I follow.
This space is a safe place -- for kindness, encouragement, and truth spoken in love. I don’t wear rose-colored glasses; I just choose to see life through the lens of hope. My “Good Ship Lollipop” outlook? That’s not denial -- it’s decision. I’ve decided to believe in beauty, even when the world looks bleak.
So yes, I’ll hold the door wide open to anyone who comes in peace—regardless of how different we may see things. But swords of bitterness? Those get checked at the door.
Romans 12:18 reminds us: “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” That’s the goal here. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness -- those are always welcome.
Let’s build each other up, not tear each other down. After all, we’re all just trying to get home safel
