Praying Without Ceasing

Just one more blog about our travel experiences. Though our luggage is still in the great unknown -- we already know God has us AND our luggage is in His all-knowing and all-seeing eyes.
While waiting through delays at Heathrow Airport, we did our best to stay calm. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch, relaxed in reclining chairs, and reminded ourselves that suitcases are replaceable, but peace of mind is priceless.
As I walked through the maze of people and restaurants and namebrand shops all over -- I noticed signs pointing to a “Multi-Faith Prayer Room.” Curious, I stepped inside.

There, one man stood quietly in prayer. Another knelt on a prayer rug, fully devoted and undistracted. Their sincerity was unmistakable.
I left that room deeply challenged.
Am I as intentional in my own devotion to Jesus?
Do I seek Him and find Him in my daily walk and talk with Him?

Not necessarily by kneeling on a rug in an airport, but by openly acknowledging Him in my everyday life. In my words. In my reactions. In my gratitude. In my trust when flights are delayed and luggage goes missing.
Prayer doesn't require stained glass windows, a favorite chair, or the perfect mood. Prayer is simply an ongoing conversation with our Heavenly Father.

We can pray while driving down I-35, folding laundry, standing in line at H-E-B, or waiting for lost luggage to reappear.
A minister once said, “I never pray for more than fifteen minutes, but I never go fifteen minutes without praying.”
That is the kind of relationship God desires.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. -- in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6
Whether we are in Heathrow Airport, our kitchen, or stuck in traffic, God is only a whispered prayer away.
He never loses track of us OR our luggage! Stay tuned for our missing luggage saga! Surely there's a happy ending in store!
