Wearing My Rose-Colored Glasses

Yesterday I was at my dentist's office for a routine cleaning, but I've had a little gum issue, so the recommendation was to have that area lasered. I not only said "go for it", but I asked if they could laser some of my wrinkles while they were at it. LOL! We each had to wear rose-colored glasses for the procedure, so of course, I knew I had to post about "rose-colored glasses"! I love how God brings these ideas to me for my daily FB posts.

Actually, I've been accused of wearing rose-colored glasses (Webster's definition: "An optimistic perception of something; seeing something in a positive way, often thinking of it as better than it actually is.") and I've had no regrets doing so.

Each day we have an opportunity to wear "glasses" that show us every reason to accept feelings of despair, anxiety, weariness, sadness, worry, doubt and unbelief. But, why those glasses? Why be irritable, in a bad mood, cranky, and having a bad day right from the start.....especially when the blessings in our lives FAR outweigh the "stuff" going on in our lives?

I'm telling you, if we "instantly" turn the negative thoughts into thanksgiving for the blessings in our lives....those blessings will just start to multiply. It's just God's way! "For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous......" Psalm 5: 12.

So I just think I'll slip on my rose-colored glasses and start counting my blessings RIGHT NOW!!

Let's Swim Out to our Ship!

Sometimes we look at others, and see their successes, and we might think, "Why not me?" ********* And there are other times, we wish we could be bold enough to step out in faith -- even be somewhat of a "Risk Taker", regardless of what the outcome might be. ********* BUT, then, there are those defining moments when, with all out abandonment, we muster up every ounce of confidence and boldness and bulldog tenacity that we possibly can.....and we take that audacious leap of faith -- that step forward or that "swim" of a lifetime!
And, regardless of the outcome, we GO FOR IT!

Let's go for it TODAY!! Who knows? Our ship just might be anchored in the harbor, and it's ready for us to board!
